The receiving address, 0x74530e81E9f4715c720b6b237f682CD0e298B66C, had no previous transaction history.
Cyvers’ Alert on the Suspicious Transactions
The Remitano exchange hack came to light when Cyvers, a blockchain analytics platform, raised an alarm. Cyvers’ machine learning-based system detected several unusual transactions involving Remitano, which resulted in a total loss of $2.7 million across three different chains. Cyvers promptly contacted the Remitano team to halt further losses and kick-start the recovery of the suspected stolen funds.
Tether’s Swift Action
Tether took immediate action upon learning about the suspicious transactions. The company froze the involved address to stop the attacker from cashing out USDT.
