As litigation continues to swirl around the FTX conglomerate, Fenwick & West, the former legal counsel for the company, has made a move to dismiss lawsuits lodged against it. These class action suits, initiated by FTX investors, accuse the law firm of facilitating FTX’s alleged fraudulent activities. One specific piece of evidence highlighted in the case was an email from Daniel Friedberg, a key attorney for FTX, which stated that some of FTX’s cash and cryptocurrency was held by Alameda for FTX customers. Celebrity Marketers Attempt to Dismiss Lawsuits
In a separate but related development, several high-profile celebrities once employed by FTX as marketers are also seeking to dismiss lawsuits against them. These celebrities, including Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen, Stephen Curry, Larry David, Shaquille O’Neal, David Ortiz, and Naomi Osaka, are accused of participating in FTX’s alleged fraudulent activities.
