Chamberlain’s post was a response to an ongoing debate among XRP holders about the airdrop process. Many holders were under the impression that they needed to burn their XRP tokens to participate in the airdrop. However, Chamberlain’s clarification has debunked this belief.
He explained that XRP holders who clone their r-addresses on Xahau will receive sufficient Xahau XRP to open an account and establish a trustline. In essence, there’s no need to burn or move any XRP to claim the airdrop.
Response to the Misunderstanding
The clarification from Chamberlain came as a response to a post by an XRPL ambassador named Daniel on X. Daniel’s post had stirred up a discussion, with Tim Hoff, an independent XRP holder, stating that a B2M of five XRP should suffice for the Evernode drop. However, Hoff also noted that the process might not be as straightforward as it seems, and the communication regarding the rollout has been somewhat murky.
Chamberlain’s clarification intends to clear up any misconceptions and ensure a smooth airdrop event.
Details of the Upcoming EVRS Airdrop
According to reports, Evernode is planning to distribute 5,160,960 EVRS tokens in the imminent airdrop. Eligible XRP holders will be the beneficiaries of these tokens. Those who clone their addresses will receive two Xahua XRP, covering the account reserve and five ledger objects. One Xahua XRP will cater to the account reserve, while the other will fund the ledger objects.
